I like the concept of that Ruger and it looks like it would be a hoot to shoot. But, while I'd be happy to shoot yours, they don't appeal to me enough to buy one - I'd rather run those ACP rounds through a 1911 I already have! | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Allan, One revolver I would heavily recommend. The Ruger Blackhawk Convertible in .45 Colt / .45 ACP. The recoil is mild with both loads, moreso with the ACP. It shoots dead on, and is cheaper to plink away with. Yet, the gun can handle loads with more "oomph" if need be and .45 Colt has some nice defensive loads out there. Or, just get the .45-70 Revolver and not worry about bear, men, or small flying machines ever again. NAA Wasp on Top chambered in .22 Magnum a FUN gun to shoot. Magnum Research BFR chambered in .45-70 with a 10.5 inch barrel. Fun to shoot when the gun operates. It's on its way back to Magnum Research for fixing. Ruger Blackhawk Convertible in .45 Colt and .45 ACP. Very fun and easy to shoot. I've put more .45 ACP through this gun so far than my S&W Governor.
