I still have a good stock of ammo that I bought during the halcyon days of cheap ammo -- I am frugal with it now. I have not bought any NEW ammo in the last four years.
When Natchez still had cheap ammo, I bought two cases of Blazer every time it went on sale. Since I no longer compete, I am in good shape. I am actually more upset about bulk packed Federal Auto Match .22LR. It is excellent ammo, and was cheap. I shot thousands of rounds of it, never had a bad round, and it is consistently excellent. Yet it is bulk packed and and available at Wal-Mart... well, not anymore! |
