Thank-you, Stu. I guess it is pretty small. What I look for in a group is a proper shape, nice and round. I like a gun that can put fifty rounds into an essentially circular shape, size commensurate to distance and type of rest. If there are flyers outside the group they should still generally keep to the circular shape, showing that the gun is a shooter and the shooter simply got tired.
In my group here I was shooting well that day but the group is not circular. It is tight but in a great gun it should have looked better, I thought. I dunno, though, it is a bit deceiving because there are tears there between a couple different bullet holes that, when copied, make it look worse. And it is only one cylinder-full. Perhaps if I'd shot more rounds into that one target it would have acquired a more circular shape overall, revealing the gun's capabilities and my lack of same. |
