If I still had the 625 I believe I'd shoot Auto rim exclusively
As much as I liked the 625 I hated using the miserable clips. Tore my fingers off getting the cases out of them. I did get a tool that made it easier, but I still hated it. I bought 100 AR cases, but I liked the idea of using pistol cartridges in the revolver. I finally got some plastic clips and found they worked well. I don't think they're reliable enough to use in dangerous situations, but I liked using them for plinking and targets. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Mine had a standard spur hammer, and was the usual SA/DA. At the time I shot mostly .45ACP in it, but these days I load up a large batch of .45 Auto Rim every couple years, for my son for use in his M1917. If I still had the 625 I believe I'd shoot Auto rim exclusively because I have 500 or more AR cases, and that makes it more pleasant to plink with on the range. I have no idea about the delayed notification but I'll ask Joe--that's in his bailiwick. |
