I'm pretty sure that mine was a former police gun, possibly for the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Police Department. They used 645/4506 for quite some time, and mine is marked HPD. It also shows typical wear from having ridden in a duty holster for a LONG time.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ahh, a 4506-1!  I have one of those in Excellent, near Mint condition, and I'm being modest describing it!
