Irresponsible? I'd think so but no. I am not by any stretch of the definition into advertising; As you well know, Magazines as a whole, stay in production not because of subscribers, which helps but it's those who advertise in these magazine. Is it irresponsible? No. They are advertising a product that is legal to own, I think
It's just like guns, it's not illegal but how one uses it might be. I have a replica of a Texas Ranger badge. I would not dream about wearing it on my shirt or having it in my pocket or a badge wallet. I said it before and I'll say it again, it's screaming "impersonating of a police officer"! Anybody who would think including this product in your pocket everyday thinking it'll get you outta trouble I am afraid is deadly wrong! |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yeah they must be, or they wouldn't still be advertised for sale in every gun mag. What do you think (everyone) about gun mags accepting advertising for such items? Is there any responsibility on the magazine's part to show some judgment, or should they accept any advertising as long as the item is legal? |
