Hi Mark,
I know this is an older thread now but I missed your question about the hole in the Trigger Guard. That is not a hole but the button you pressed to release the custom straddle floor plate. If you are familiar with the 1909 Argentine Mauser, it had a floor plate release similar to this one. Frank |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I really like the idea of a quick detach rear peep like a quick detach scope. Really useful especially for a young guy with good eyes! What am I seeing that looks like a hole in the trigger guard? |
