I've heard of that, too. Maybe an older Leopold mount, or Stith??? HGW OOPS...I see that Frank remembered it. Redfield crossed my mind, but didn't make the grade to the keyboard |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: At one time someone made a scope base which incorporated a flip-up aperture sight. My Grandfather had one installed on a Winchester Model 70. I thought that was pretty slick, but have no idea who made it.
