Dunno how to do that other then a pad on the cheek piece. My spotweld is somewhat high on my chin when I shoot it.
The iron sights are barely visible on my 30/06 version of this rifle (no carving or engraving) and the mount is different. HGW |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Wow! What a beautiful rifle... and in one of my favorite calibers, too. I have yet to figure out how to shoot a rifle with a scope mounted that high. Those European quick-detachable mounts are often designed so you can see the iron sights under the scope but that puts the scope so high I have to lift my head off the stock to look through it. Is there a common technique to overcome that? |
