In some ways, it improved the stock, as it wasn't exhibition grade walnut. Carving isn't something that I would willingly pay to be done to a custom gun that I was building, altho engraving would be if I won big in the lottery. Perhaps the carving was what prompted such a low price. I kinda liked it as an example of the Austrian custom gunsmith's art. HGW |
