I suppose if one can afford it those are not bad prices? A bit too rarified for me.
We think alike--I often save the better pictures off Gun Broker just to have them, especially if the firearm is a bit rare. |

It could have gone for $1-2000 more from what I've seen on GB. Most Mannlichers go for $1000 and up, usually $1500-2000 for the majority of decent guns. One fella on Gunbroker is mighty proud of his collection and displays them, greatly overpriced...apparently a disciple of PT Barnum, a sucker is born every minute. The engraving was absolutely gorgeous and classical. I saved all the pix in the auction. GA FINALLY took it down, months after the sale. HGW |
