I don't think I mentioned that I bought mine from Ohio Ordnance Works, who is also a manufacturer as well as a seller. You may know them from their semi-auto version of the M1918 BAR as well as a truly updated for the 21st Century version of the BAR. (Although those are a topic for another thread.) OOW belong to OGCA and set up every show. They always have some wonderful firearms for sale.
I really enjoy shooting my MAS36 and recently bought another 100 rounds of Prvi Partizan because I want to have enough brass for it to last. Do you still have your MAS36? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I remember picking that up at the Local Shop for $150 or so.... Now, good luck even FINDING one. It was definitely a nice rifle. Easy to shoot, some felt recoil, but the PRVI 7.5 French load that I shot out of it was pretty mild. The forward leaning bolt handle was also nice and the bayonet storage method was pretty cool, making it part of the rifle rather than an afterthought like the Mosin M-44. |
