I tried to respond earlier today, but the site shut down, or so the error message said that I got.
I think a squeeze cocker with the "cocker" in the back rather than in the front would be less, mmm, precise. Less natural? I know the original grip safety is in the back, Less precise and probably more difficult to manipulate because instead of your fingers squeezing the cocking lever in the front of the grip, IMO, you'd be pressing the cocking lever primarily with your thumb and the web of your hand. Your SPS-ed 1911 hardly looked different, which I suppose was a benefit. Is it still in that mode? I removed the system, but then a friend wanted to try it, so I reinstalled it. I thought he was going to buy it, but he didn't, and so it is still in the 1911. Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think a squeeze cocker with the "cocker" in the back rather than in the front would be less, mmm, precise. Less natural? I know the original grip safety is in the back, but it requires, what, a nano-gram of pressure to activate, compared to what I remember the front squeeze cocker of the P7 requiring? Your SPS-ed 1911 hardly looked different, which I suppose was a benefit. Is it still in that mode? |
