I didn't mean for my comments to come off as a personal attack. I was trying to summarize my thoughts on the subject using concepts that you and Allan had made earlier. Which I agreed .
I don't want to have a public quarrel. I do respect you. You and this forum have been very helpful to me. I meant no offense. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I really and truly can't help but read between the lines of your response. Even though I'm in agreement with others here, or vice versa, not to mention around the country (nationally known trainers, etc), it seems as if you don't like the way I say things. Do you feel I come off as "my way of the highway?" Do you believe I try to, or do in fact intimidate people? Do you feel I am the sort that puts people off from CCW altogether? Do you feel as if things said here, especially by me, fly in the face of a REPUTABLE source? I don't believe any of this to be the case. I have some hard and fast personal beliefs about self-defense and concealed carry, but then, I am not alone in those beliefs. Still, am I being singled out? If so, why? I know we are not doing "personalities" here. Not our thing, right? If I've read too much between the lines, then I can only say that I don't worry about people being intimidated. As I said, I talk to a lot of people regularly about CCW, most are not as hard core into it as we are, but they tend to be enthusiastic and interested, not put off in any way. Then again, I may come across different in person than in writing. |
