For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I can kind of see what you are saying and I'm afraid you are right about how some people perceive things, especially ideas new to them. That said, I think the subject, heck, the basic reason behind the whole concept of concealed carry for self defense, needs to be understood right out of the box and I can't force myself to pussyfoot around trying to ease them through counterproductive baby steps that risk increasing the chance that a newbie is going to set himself or herself on a path less likely to lead to success. They may still end up going another way but by the time I shut up they will know what they are risking. After all, some day it may be your survival or mine that depends upon their choices... |
