I have this mount on my bullseye 1911 with red dot scope.  I was concerned that the slide mounted dot  would not bear up under the repeated recoil. So far, it's held it's zero and no rattling optics after several thousand rounds.     HGW

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Stu and all, Which do you prefer, a mount like this with a large optic, or the latest thing which carves a huge dovetail in the rear of the slide for a mini-optic?
