I have shot some in my revolvers and decided clean up was too onerous. Powder buildup was surprising to me. Now I understand why Mark doesn't do .38 spl in a .357 magnum.
However, as you said, it is doable if you are willing to do the cleanup. Good for working on the fundamentals without the recoil. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A lot of the older .22 rifles will shoot .22 Short. I have some from when i shot the Astra. I use it now for introducing new shooters to the lowest possible recoiling cartridge. I simply shoot it out of my Heritage .22LR revolver. It works, goes bang, and it usually lasts a cylinder before they want to try something more powerful. |
