I have a small, but expanding library of reference books. Most are of firearms or eras that I have an interest in.
Sometimes I consider them too expensive to consider. Take Ian McCollum's recent book on French Firearms from the Gras to the Famas. I have zero french firearms and have traded off those that I did have. So, at $85, I don't have a lot of interest in his book. My dollar threshold is probably at $50-60 unless I find a rare book that I really want. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have some expensive books in my library but I have dozens up dozens that didn't cost very much. Not as many sources for them anymore but if you look for DBI Books or Krause Publications and look for older titles you'll find some gems cheap. ETA: Books from Krause in the last 20 years tend to be puff pieces. |
