I can’t give you an exact when. Regulations are more stringent among all agencies today than they were 20 years ago. Some Rangers may be authorized to carry other pistols for certain assignments but the official Ranger and TXDPS pistol is the P320.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I thought the Texas Rangers were allowed to carry whatever they wanted, when did it change?
