For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I've always wondered why the military continued to use this mount. Is it better than I've always believed it was....? I don't know. Could be inertia, could be that the military had hundreds or thousands in stock, or simply because no one came up with a better solution at a reasonable price. Also, IMO, the M25 was not an excellent sniper rifle. It was a better DMR, and the Army and Marines continued using bolt guns which were deemed more accurate and more consistent than the M25. Just my 2 cents. Harvey |
