Oh, sure - pipe cleaners, too, and worn-out bore brushes to recycle for smaller bores or as general-use brushes. I've got more junk in my cleaning kits than cleaning supplies! 
I cut down the bristles on the same toothbrush on which I whittled down the handle although trimming the bristles uniformly can be a bit of a pain without a razor-sharp knife. Stu |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Besides Q-tips I also keep pipe cleaners, both smooth and bristle types. On toothbrushes, do any of you guys cut the bristles down lo as shown in the the original photo for the purpose of making them firmer? |
