Just the opposite for me; five inch is best, followed by Commander length.  Different strokes once more, eh? Who knows, maybe its just a familiarity thing with me. Stu

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Oh I love the five inch 1911, it's still my favorite.  But of the alternate slide lengths, I like the longer look.
