The Argus 94 is a little different from all the others as the external appearance differs the most from the original FN product.
Very true. You can see the physical differences in this description. So, any comments on the likelihood that a larger clone market for Hi-Powers will ever appear, along the lines if not the scope of the 1911 clone market? I don't know. The originals and previous clones have certainly appreciated in selling prices, so there is obviously interest in the type. Tisas ("Regent") has done a good job with their clone, and offering it in stainless (as well as blue/black) was an interesting approach. The "con" side of the Regent, from what I've read in the past, is that they did not improve on the trigger or manual safety issues of the original Hi-Power. (Those might have been improved recently.) And yes of course that's the pistol you own. For the second time! Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The Argus 94 is a little different from all the others as the external appearance differs the most from the original FN product. The others are mostly true copies. So, any comments on the likelihood that a larger clone market for Hi-Powera will ever appear, along the lines if not the scope of the 1911 clone market? BTW, I certainly wasn't criticizing your personal use of the term "BHP." Just pointing out that it only applied to one pistol. And yes of course that's the pistol you own. |
