For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As best I can tell, the mark on that revolver reads "B of IHT". That suggests a "Bureau of" something but I haven't come up with a an IHT meaning. Maybe it's "IMT"? Still no answer. The gun shows muzzle wear and stock panel wear consistent with an open strong-side holster, so I suspect it was a duty pistol for some uniformed officer for a good part of its life... Stu |
