(FWIW, that wasn't my own photo).  It appears to be a property mark.  Not a Colt marking.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Mark, I just noticed a stamp on the right rear of the frame on this Police Positive Colt. It appears to say "B of {something unreadable}". Any idea what the remaining part is and what - if just initials - it refers to?
