I would think for a 1000 yard rifle you would want a 7MM or 30 caliber bullet, a 22 caliber bullet will be more prone to wind drift?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Very nice indeed!  How unusual, if at all, is the .22-250 chambering for a national match rifle?
