At NORAD especially our SOS was sausage, definitely not hamburger--and no grease. Maybe because the generals ate in the same chow hall?
But even at Lackland and a couple of TDY bases I don't remember hamburger. Wonder if the AF upped their game after you went through? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Tried to explain at Christmas dinner (Prime Rib & Honey Ham) that SOS was NOT chipped dried beef (very expensive) but rather hamburger in a cream sauce.....best part was the 1/2 inch of yellow grease floating on top of the pot! Was your SOS any different? |
