Did they actually call that SOS? To me there is a difference between biscuits and gravy, a classic Southern breakfast, and the old SOS updated with hamburger; similar but maybe different derivations?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Imagine a spicier sausage instead of burger--really good SOS. No, no mystery meals. Pretty good food though. Basic and tech school, both in Texas (Lackland AFB and Ft. Sam Houston) was almost all Tex Mex--really good for GI food. And NORAD, where I spent most of my enlistment was good food cooked to please high ranking officers and incidentally served to enlisted types, so good variety and good quality. Nothing weird. |
