Just still strikes me as strange.
I think it says a lot about the 1911 platform that it handles an assortment of calibers so well. Let's see, there was the original .45, then the .38 Super, .38AMU, 9mm, 9x23, .30 Luger for the Italians. the .22LR for the Ace and Service Ace, .40 S&W, and a few 7.62 x25 in Vietnam. Any others that you can think of? (Some wildcats also, the 400 Corbon, and the .357 Magnum in some beefed up platforms) Harvey |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You and Allan are both right, no disagreement here. And I have two 9mm 1911s myself (and two .38 Super 1911s). Just still strikes me as strange.
