Yeah, me too.  I think it's asymmetrical.  I have never seen an eight inch barrel that looked "right" to me.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have a '72 vintage nickel Python, 6 inch barrel that I consider one of if not the most beautiful handgun ever made yet I think this 8 inch is just plain ugly, I wonder why that is?
