Thanks!  Now that you mention these, they sound familiar, and I seem to have heard of them before.  All sorts of stuff is stored in my head that I cannot jog loose without a firm slap upside the head.  So thanks again.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Yes, I'd actually think those were modern day stocks. I did some research and there was a plastic based stock called "Franzite" that was available at that time. Here's an example. Harvey
