Here's my Colt Woodsman. This was my grandfather's pistol.

Image Info: This is my grandfather's Colt Woodsman. Family legend says it kept the alley next to the house clear of marauding and noisy tomcats. I think it was made circa 1937. Need to research the Serial Number on it.  |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I can't help but wonder what the stocks are made of on the 1940 model? Do you know what it is? Pretty exotic looking to me.
