Keep in mind the M14/M1A was and still is used at Camp Perry.  They don't use inaccurate rifles there.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Is this rifle more accurate than that rifle? A lot of variables. Maybe Harv can way in on the M14? The AR10 exists because the platform works and modularity is useful.
