For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I suppose the military could have purchased AR10s, but that would have been stupid since they still possess M14s in inventory. Knights Armament produced their version of the AR10 (SR-25) for use by SpecOps personnel. After some modifications, SOCOM adopted the SR-25 as the Mk 11 MOD 0. But we both know, SpecOps buy what they want, no matter what is in the normal US military inventory. They also adopted the FN SCAR, and I'm sure others. Harvey |
