I have a Springfield '03 high number that will shoot one minute of angle on a regular basis with GI ball from back in the late 20's and early 30's.
Excellent performance! I have always heard the Springfield was the most accurate battle rifle ever made? Depends on who is making the statement. It's too broad a statement, IMO, Robert. Just like Patton's statement of the M1 Garand being "the greatest battle implement ever devised.” A bit of well intentioned hyperbole? Harvey |

The Germans might say the Mauser, the Brits the Lee Enfield, the Russians the Moisin Nagant, and some Americans the M1917. And which variant of the M1903 would that be?
