I had one of those Marlins in .35 Remington when I lived in Montana and could still see iron sights. It was old enough to have the threaded factory holes for mounting an aperture sight and I installed a Williams sight on it. It was a great handling rifle and about perfect for hunting the steep, heavily wooded area behind our cabin where 50-75 yards was a long shot. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Had one back in the 70's in 35 Remington with a 4X scope in "see through" mounts but I sold it to a friend, one of the dumbest deals I ever made, wish I had it back today.
