If I recall right, when first introduced the 5.7's claim to fame was that you could put a lot of rounds into an attacker - high capacity rather than individual round effectiveness. Also the small diameter paired with steel core military ammo could defeat body armor. Maybe good for some military purposes but I don't really see that for civilian defense.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I haven't looked at any ballistic reviews on the 5.7x28. I assume based on the fact that it was designed for the military that it has could hold its own in a gun fight, but I'd like to see some testing. Wonder if Lucky Gunner Labs has tested it? |
