For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Another probability is that Remington and its parent company follow the standard American corporate procedure of doing their best to get rid of the skilled, long-time, higher-paid employees and substitute beginners who will work for half as much. The fact that they can't even do half the job doesn't matter because product quality is not the main concern of the companies that follow this model. Word will spread, the Marlin 336 market will move to used guns only and the company will have to either straighten up their act and stop producing sub-standard rifles or drop the products that require skilled workmen to produce. |
