For starters, let me admit unashamedly that I am indeed a chest man! From A to D, I appreciate them all although my appreciation does tend to correlate somewhat with size.
That doesn't mean I'm immune to the charm of other parts, though; as the old saying goes, "Parts is parts!" Betty Grable does indeed have nice legs. If they are heads and shoulders above other famous legs (pun intended) would be a job for a leg specialist to determine and I see that you have stepped up to that role here. I think we agree, though, that hype does have a lot to do with forming opinions. Speaking of legs, I always thought Cyd Charisse had a spectacular pair and used them well! Stu |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Definitely nice legs but I never understood the hoopla over them. I can--they are a cut above the rest, and I know legs. You are far too busy with your eyes firmly glued to the female chest area to ever have paid enough attention to legs. You do not have the connoisseur's mindset when it comes to legs. I on the other hand don't care if women wear an A cup or a D cup--but I note their legs. I do acknowledge that there are of course women in general--not just the public eye--during any given era with physical charms that are comparable to a famous star's, but marketing is simply the way of the world. Should we fault Miss Grable for posing for pin-ups or her agent for the insurance policy? In my day it was rumored that Juliet Prowse insured her legs for a million dollars--she was a dancer you may recall. And that is actually common today. Some months ago I took note of a Polish girl named Ariadna Majewska. Saw some fashion model photos online, then more and more, finally realized she started out as a blogger and became known that way. Her claim to fame for many, however, was most likely that she has stupendous legs. (I'm no longer surprised that individuals can gain world-wide fame among at least some groups via blogs or Instagram, but it still kinda weirds me out.) Point is, Ariadna Majewska (below) is simply marketing herself, 2018 style. Betty Grable did her thing, girls today do their thing. Hoopla still exists, and I understand it. |
