Agree on Ann Miller.
I'm actually not a huge fan of dancer's legs. I dated and even lived with a dancer on and off for five years (she was a bit volatile, thus the "off") early in my life. While she was very shapely, she had dancers legs. They looked great from the third row, but up close you could see the muscle development that distance and tights hid. I don't love the muscular calves all good dancers must have. I think if you got up close and personal with one you might agree with me. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: To that end I'm not a fan of Cyd Charisse--not terribly attractive to my eye, never liked her hairstyle either-- As is frequently the case, our mileage does differ here. It's the face that is MOST important and the face that keeps everything else in perspective. To agree, may I point out Ann Miller? She was cute in her early black-and-white movies but maturity and Technicolor did her a great disservice - she ended up,to my eye, a chipmunk-cheeked, overly made up example of your point but she certainly could dance and had those long dancer's legs...
