I'm not familiar with the P9S buffer but I know some pistols came with buffers. The Star PD had a buffer that was fibrous, came in the gun. If a pistol comes with a buffer that's one thing, but with 1911s I'm talking an aftermarket product, a different thing altogether, I think. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The only pistol I ever used buffers in was the H&K P9S, and that was because the pistol was designed to use the buffer, and it came equipped with one. The buffers could and did wear out and created a potential problem if they shredded with use. For a time after the P9S was discontinued, the buffers were available from H&K, but they became very difficult to find with time. And like all things H&K, the replacement buffers were expensive when compared to those for other pistols. I think they might still be available these days. Harvey |
