I'd actually like to get a Star PD again, but making sure the PD was in good shape, or getting a replacement for a long discontinued pistol concerns me. Frankly the same concern is true for a P9S, although acquiring one of those is less likely due to their collector status and high price today. While some companies make buffers for other guns besides the 1911 (the AK comes to mind), I'm not sure older discontinued guns are covered. I haven't really looked into it though.... | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I'm familiar with the 1911 Shok Buffs and never used them. Like the PD, the P9S came with a buffer that could be replaced when used up. The buffers for the P9S were plastic, and IIRC, some aftermarket versions were some sort of fiber. Harvey |
