A friend and co-worker of mine took a moose with his in Ontario. A lot were sporterized, I think.
I might be confusing this with a civilian Krag since I thought his was 6.5x55 caliber rather than the government .30-40. Can anyone straighten me out here? Anyway, I had a taste of that moose - pretty good! Stu |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Back in my younger days I can remember old timers using these to hunt deer, the caliber was 30-40 Kraig if I'm not mistaken?
