Hi Stu,
Back in the early 50's we use to rent Krag rifles for deer hunting in California. We had both 30/40 Krags and 6.5x55 Krags. The 6.5x55 were Norwegian Krags. I don't think there were any 6.5x55 US Krags. Speaking from memory and not sure this is correct. Frank |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: A friend and co-worker of mine took a moose with his in Ontario. A lot were sporterized, I think. I might be confusing this with a civilian Krag since I thought his was 6.5x55 caliber rather than the government .30-40. Can anyone straighten me out here? Anyway, I had a taste of that moose - pretty good! Stu |
