Hi Harvey,
I've got a Benjamin 132 air pistol (22 cal) from about the same time/era. A bit later (1945-1946) It has similar stocks that are made out of plastic. Here is a link to one similar to mine |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I can't help but wonder what the stocks are made of on the 1940 model? Do you know what it is? Pretty exotic looking to me.
