Well, as I said to Harvey, the biggest issue I have is that the longer frames and cylinders add to the weight of these 9mm-chambered .357s (), especially when built of all-steel. A second consideration is concealability. My 905i drops in a pocket and is gone. It's great for discreet carry locations. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I haven't gone down that Charter Arms Rimless revolver rabbit hole just yet. It's intriguing to me, but I've had other financial considerations (new roof and new floors in two rooms the joys of "new" home ownership). I have to say, I do think you are the only one who views that longer cylinder as a detriment. I think if it were an issue, your 905i would be the standard for that cartridge and not the relative rarity it is today. Your 905i is the ONLY one I have seen in the wild. I don't see it impacting accuracy either as I couldn't see a difference between that and say... .357 magnum when shooting DA out of a similar gun. |
