For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have no way to prove it, but I was once told that early on TC had not figured out how to make a good stainless barrel, but that their chrome moly barrels were pretty good. Too bad I didn't know that before buying the Contender carbine in stainless... 
BTW, accuracy with this one isn't AWFUL, it will usually group about 1 1/2 MOA. I'd hoped that it could be a light "walking" varmint rifle but I'd want better accuracy in a varmint rifle. |
