Another good example.  Probably why I've never owned a T/C. Though I could always buy a receiver and a custom barrel separately and not spend a huge amount more than a complete factory carbine or rifle, eh?

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: >>I don't think a single one had a factory barrel. That suggests to me that you are spot on about the barrels.<< My Contender rifle in 17 Mach4 did very well with a Lilja barrel. It shot sub moa.  I then bought a T/C barrel in 22 Hornet that shot miserably, and got rid of it.   HGW
