Yes, the Seecamp was higher quality - a cult gun, actually - but didn't hit any harder or deader, I think. I like to think my KelTec P32 was the beginning of a move to lighter yet more powerful pocket and hideout guns, even though it's outpaced today by .380s in the same league and even 9mms hardly bigger!

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Not anything I'm ashamed of, though it was fun to joke about years after the fact. There simply were no hideout guns of any power in the old days, and we used what we could get. At the sheriff's academy they recommended a hideout gun and suggested a Beretta .25 like a Jetfire for the front uniform pocket. I couldn't afford one. So I actually carried a Raven for a short time, until I acquired a first generation (.25 caliber) Seecamp LWS-25, a considerably higher quality product. |
