| would be a lot of things to change out to make a M1 INTO A M2 they use a round bolt to get the weight up,. frame also had to be cut to take lever spring. a operating slide with trip cam on it a disconnector added along with m-2 hammer. also a longer magazine catch. can be done but is a job | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I can believe it. They changed out the safeties entirely, changed out rear sights, etc. Were some of the M1s converted to M2 or were only new carbines mades as M2s? |
